The SAVES Green Community Program Platform was designed, to further the energy efficiency and conservation policies of States across the Southern United States. SAVES (which stands for Sustainable and Verifiable Energy Savings) works with both public and private funding sources to arrange and provide subsidized financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, distributed energy, alternative fuels, and water conservation projects.
